FIRST FRIDAY RETURNS TO THE MALL AT MILLENIA WITH A SULTRY SPRING SERIES

ORLANDO, FL (Dateline) – Sometimes there is an infectious groove you feel…a wave of exhilaration that comes with saying goodbye to inhibitions. This feeling of diversion and excitement awaits you at The Mall at Millenia’s First Friday concerts. First Friday returns to
The Mall at Millenia with a springtime series filled with the best talent in a relaxed, outdoor setting. Unwind from 5:30 to 8:30 pm outside the mall’s main entrance, and make sure to bring your dancing shoes.

March 3 – The Buzzcatz
Enjoy the classic mix of, soul, blues, jazz and rock & roll with The Buzzcatz. Lead singer Ricky Sylvia takes the audience on a musical journey from Sinatra and Louie Armstrong to The Stones & The Commodores, while keeping the dance floor packed all evening long. The "Nine Lives" tour has seen The Buzzcatz playing to sold out venues across the country, including a performance for the President of the United States.

April 7- Miss Jacqueline Jones & The Jacqueline Jones Band
Enjoy soulful renditions of your favorite classics by Miss Jacqueline Jones. Jacqueline has been captivating audiences with her voice, wit and showmanship. Her versatility as a singer, dancer and actress has led to engagements in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and performances across the country and abroad. Her spirited blend of jazz, rhythm and blues and contemporary music consistently delights her audiences whether she is performing in an intimate club or on the concert stage. She appeared before a television audience of more than 365 million people worldwide when she sang the National Anthem for the opening ceremonies of World Cup, 1994.

May 5 - Tropical Steel
The Caribbean comes a little closer as the island sounds of Tropical Steel fill the air. Tropical Steel has been performing in the Central Florida area for over 15 years. The band is formed around one of the world’s greatest steel drum musicians, founder, John Smith aka John Steel. Along with John, you can also enjoy the talents of producers/songwriter, Shaun Fisher, who will be playing keys and singing lead and background vocals. On guitar, lead and rhythm will be the electrifying sounds of Tom Lanze, and on percussion and background vocals will be the smooth sounds of Eugene Phillips. Together they create an eclectic sound of Caribbean and world beat music.

Hosted by Smooth Jazz 103.1, guests at First Friday can enjoy an evening filled with mouthwatering dining and lively cocktails including, Blue Martini, The Cheesecake Factory, Brio Tuscan Grille, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, California Pizza Kitchen, Johnny Rockets and Panera Bread. Presented by Land Rover Orlando and Lake Nona Golf and Country Club, the concert series will also feature informal modeling by The Maile School highlighting great spring fashions.
