SWING INTO THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH
THE MALL AT MILLENIA’S FIRST FRIDAY CONCERTS

ORLANDO, FL (October 24, 2005) – After a day of holiday shopping, guests can swing into the spirit of the season with The Mall at Millenia’s First Friday holiday concerts on November 4th and December 2nd from 5 pm to 8 pm at the mall’s main entrance. Below is a line-up of what’s in store:
November 4th - The Buzzcatz
An eight-piece band with a full horn section, The Buzzcatz can ignite a party anywhere with a danceable mix of classic swing, soul, jazz, blues, and rock and roll. Members of the band have played with Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Billy Joel, Barbara Streisand, Harry Connick Jr.,
The Temptations, The Four Tops, Natalie Cole, Dwight Yolkham and Brian Setzer, to name just a few. Lead singer Ricky Sylvia takes the audience on a musical journey from Sinatra and Louie Armstrong to The Stones & The Commodores, while keeping the dance floor packed all evening long.
December 2nd - Michael Andrew and Swingerhead
Enjoy the contemporary, big band sounds of local favorite Michael Andrew and Swingerhead. Andrew will perform with a nine-piece band in this one-of-a kind holiday show. Swingerhead is a high-energy, band led by singer and entertainer, Michael Andrew, called “one of the all time great singers” by Merv Griffin. The group won the Orlando Music Award for best band in the category of jazz, swing and lounge for four consecutive years. Their debut CD, She Could Be A Spy, won CD of the Year in 1998 and was the fastest-selling CD in many Florida and California record stores that year. Andrew performs throughout Central Florida and the nation with Swingerhead and was voted “Best Local Entertainer” by Orlando Magazine readers. This performance is sure to keep you on your feet!
While enjoying the live performances, guests can purchase food and drinks from Brio Tuscan Grille, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Blue Martini, plus California Pizza Kitchen. Presented by Smooth Jazz 103.1 WLOQ, Fountain Acura and Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, the event will also feature informal modeling by Lisa Maile Image Modeling and Acting highlighting fashions that will give you great ideas for that special someone on your holiday list.
