Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Welcomes Santa in a Grand Fashion

Santa is not the only focus during the holiays for The Mall at Millenia. Since 2011, the Center has partnered with Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children through the annual Santa’s Magical Arrival event, helping to raise awareness for pediatric programs.

Santa’s Magical Arrival kicks off each holiday season for The Mall at Millenia, and is a free event for all to attend. There is an option to enjoy food and drink samplings in exchange for a $25 donation per family to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

Santa arrived on Friday, November 5th, 2016, and was welcomed by more than 3,000 guests of all ages. Through wristband sales for food and drink samplings, $8,000 was raised. The event was supported by several Mall at Millenia cafes and restaurants, including Brio Tuscan Grille, Chick-fil-a, Chinatown, Earls Kitchn + Bar, Firehouse Subs, Haagen-Dazs, Mrs. Fields Cookies, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Sbarro, The Capital Grille, and The Cheesecake Factory.

The partnership doesn’t stop at Santa's Arrival. For the seven weeks that Santa is at his post in Hollyville at The Mall at Millenia, guests are encouraged to make a direct donation to the Children’s Hospital when they choose take photos with Santa using their own camera. Throughout the holiday season each year, more than $10,000 is raised for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children helping to impact their mission: To improve the health and quality of life of the individuals and communities they serve.

Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is the only children’s hospital in Central Florida to rank as one of “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals” in U.S. News & World Report.
