Style Olympics

August 16, 2016

At The Mall at Millenia, our hearts have been bursting with pride as we watch one breathtaking moment after another from our heroic athletes in Rio. Here’s how to wear your pride on your sleeve for this year’s Olympics.

Ralph Lauren for Team USA

The official designers of the Olympians’ uniforms went for a crisp, sporty, classic look this year. Standout items include a Team USA poster-print tote, featuring a vista of the Rio coast; the striped tee US athletes will wear during the closing ceremony; and a flag-print, cotton-knit sweater featuring the official logo of the American Olympic team. All available at Bloomingdale’s.

Nike for Team USA

The other official designer for the US team, Nike, was inspired by the host country of Brazil: check out the tropical hot pink and chartreuse on the women’s Zoom All Out Flyknit running shoes, designed to propel you through your stride. Meanwhile, men can drool over the re-engineered retro Jordans that will be flying up and down the Olympic basketball court. Or go for the classic Team USA women’s running jacket — all available at Finish Line.

 Get your golf on

Finally, golf is an Olympic sport. Celebrate with the season’s most stylish golf gear: Vineyard Vines’ solid wrap golf skort and sleeveless striped polo, and Lacoste’s padded body jacket.

H&M For Every Victory

H&M was the official designer of the Swedish team’s uniform, and the pieces in this collection have all been performance-tested by Scandinavian Olympians. Also, they’re gorgeous. Standouts include color-block sports tights, a funnel-necked jacket, and a sports bra with mesh and numerical details.

Under Armour

As sponsors of Michael Phelps, Under Armour are Olympics heroes themselves. Highlights of their Stars and Stripes collection this summer include star-spangled girls’ capri pants and a women’s tank with racing back, plus red, white, and blue women’s running shoes.
